The upper with Cordura Mud Guard has high breathability and protects against outside dirt. The Monoloop mesh material is combined with the 3D Fit Print upper. This gives the shoes high breathability and also allows them to dry faster. In addition, the lace guard keeps the laces in place.

The midsole of the Brooks Cascadia 16 features DNA LOFT v2, which makes the shoe lighter and provides more cushioning than its predecessor. There is also 2 mm foam added to the midsole which provides extra comfort. The midsole has more releasing grooves which provides improved adaptability on rough terrain. The Ballistic Rock Shield now includes vertical grooves, allowing for better lateral movement.

The outsole of the shoes incorporates the Pivot Post System. This provides even more stability while running on off-road terrain. The TrailTrack rubber in the outsole gives you optimal grip on both dry and wet terrains. The drainage ports allow water to escape quickly and Gusset keeps sand and small debris out.
